Hello from Barra de São Francisco, Brazil. Why am I in Brazil? Well, my daughter’s stepdad is from Cachoeirinha, which is a small, rural village here in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo. In May, he and my ex brought their two kids down to visit his parents, and last week I came down with my daughter to join them. Barra de São Francisco is about a half-hour away from Cachoeirinha via a mostly dirt road riddled with bumps and potholes.
